We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leader in the design and installation of bespoke water features. As a Technical Engineer, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that transforms spaces through the power of water – whether it's a grand city installation or a more intimate water feature. You’ll work directly with our Senior Technical Engineer, Service Engineers, and other technical professionals to bring these stunning visions to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Planning: Collaborate with a talented team to design and plan breathtaking water features that meet both client aspirations and budget requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your deep understanding of hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and water systems to ensure the best selection of equipment and materials for each project.
- Project Management: Oversee all technical aspects of projects, from the initial concept and design phase to completion, ensuring smooth communication with contractors and stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure the flawless execution of water feature installations, troubleshooting any technical issues as they arise.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest environmental and safety regulations, ensuring every project complies with industry standards.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping to turn their ideas into reality while offering expert technical guidance.
- Documentation: Produce and maintain thorough documentation for each project, including technical specifications, proposals, and maintenance manuals.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and applying the latest technologies and trends in water features to ensure our projects are always cutting-edge.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience or qualifications in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Experience in water feature design or related disciplines (e.g., hydraulics, fluid dynamics) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CAD software and technical design tools.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, health & safety, and quality assurance.
- A proactive, self-driven approach with excellent communication skills.
- A team player who can also work independently, managing workloads and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel around London and the South-East for site visits and project supervision.
