Job Description:
As a Transport Planner working directly for our client, you will play a vital role in providing transport planning expertise and project management support. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders, developing transport strategies, and delivering projects in line with government guidelines and policies. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of multi-modal transport projects and make a significant impact on the community.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our client's team and stakeholders to develop innovative transport strategies and policies.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on transport planning, considering the needs of both public and private sector clients.
- Manage and deliver transport planning projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
- Develop business cases and funding bids, aligning them with government standards and guidelines.
- Effectively communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with relevant government policies, regulations, and best practices in transport planning.
- Utilize industry-specific modelling software and tools to perform technical analyses and generate accurate reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree level education or above in a relevant field.
- Significant experience in transport planning within both public and private sector environments.
- Familiarity with public sector governance processes, private sector project management, and working in a political environment.
- Strong knowledge and application of government policies and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven project management skills, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Technical proficiency in industry-specific modelling software.
