Senior Structural Façade Engineer
Location: Bristol (3 days/week in-office)
Salary: £55k - £60k
Alexander Associates are working with an industry-leading, independent engineering design and advisory consultancy to recruit a Senior Structural Façade Engineer for their expanding Bristol office.
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced façade specialist to take a lead role in the design and delivery of high-performance building envelopes across iconic and technically challenging projects—while contributing to the growth of a vibrant regional team.

The successful candidate will:
- Lead the structural design and coordination of façade systems across a wide range of projects
- Collaborate closely with architects, clients, and internal engineering teams to deliver elegant, buildable, and cost-effective solutions
- Oversee materials selection, performance assessments, and integration with primary structures
- Contribute to project planning, resource management, and client-facing responsibilities
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices within the façade team
Requirements
- Extensive experience in structural façade engineering, ideally including curtain walling, cladding, and bespoke system design
- Strong knowledge of materials and structural behaviour, including glass, aluminium, steel, and composite systems
- Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards (e.g., CWCT, Eurocodes, BS EN)
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Rhino, and FEM tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proactive, design-focused mindset
- Degree in Structural or Façade Engineering (or closely related discipline)
