The Senior Highway Infrastructure Engineering Technician Role:
This role is ideal for a motivated professional ready to step into a pivotal position. You’ll be involved in all aspects of transport, highway, and civil engineering infrastructure design, with responsibilities including:

  • Producing detailed design drawings
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to projects from conception through to completion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings for transport, highway, and civil infrastructure projects
  • Coordinate effectively with stakeholders and ensure seamless project delivery
  • Utilise Civil 3D for alignment design, ground models, and cut/fill analysis, and AutoCAD for technical drawings
  • Prepare documentation for S106, S278, and S38 agreements and adoption processes

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will bring experience in highway design and civil engineering, alongside technical proficiency and a proactive attitude. You should have:

  • Knowledge of highway design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, and Local Authority guidelines
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and similar tools such as AutoTrack and PDS Line
  • A background in preparing technical drawings for infrastructure agreements
  • Qualifications such as an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
