Alexander Associates are working with a groundbreaking company in the space sector who are seeking a Technical Author.

Ideal candidates have expertise in structuring complex technical information, high attention to detail, and extensive technical writing experience. They will collaborate with teams across divisions, including test sites, operations, and vehicle assembly.

Key responsibilities and tasks for the Technical Author:

• Create technical user manuals, data sheets, and reports.
• Assist and play a crucial role in writing grant proposals.
• Interpret complex technical product information and re-write this to ensure it is appropriate for all end users
• Manage the timeline for delivering content within project deadlines
• Adhere to the system engineering method for projects, overseeing gate document management.
• Mentor other staff members to improve document standards

Preferred experience and skills for the Technical Author:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field (Aerospace / Mechanical etc)
• Experience of technical writing for an engineering discipline
• Knowledge of system engineering document processes
• Knowledge of basic engineering documentation standards
• Ability to perform gap analyses on existing project documentation to develop our systems further
• Must possess the ability to establish goals, prioritise multiple objectives with different deadlines, and autonomously oversee documentation within project frameworks.
