Are you a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for the water sector? We are looking for aPrincipal Design Engineer (Mechanical)to join a growing team, taking the lead on key water projects forAMP8.
This is a remote role with occasional travel required a few days each month.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a multi-location team of junior engineers
- Drive the mechanical design of wastewater, clean water, and biosolids treatment projects
- Oversee design and project management from concept to completion
- Develop design reports, drawings, and calculations
- Design energy-saving solutions and balance of plant systems
- Engage in HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA studies
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- 7+ years of relevant design experience
- Chartered Engineer or working towards (CEng)
- Proven experience in the Water Industry
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Full UK driving license and own transport required
